Hello, my name is Nathaniel Meyers - call me Nate. I grew up playing sports and fishing in Minnesota but adult life has had me live in Texas and Wisconsin as well. I’ve spent a fair amount of time traveling, too, in France and Israel.
I studied computer engineering in college and worked in the field for 2.5 years. I was designing microprocessors for IBM. I enjoyed the work quite a bit but my heart was being called towards Catholic Christian ministry work. Next, I worked as a minister to college athletes for 2 years. This job took me to Paris as a chaplain for the athletes at the 2024 Olympic Games as well.
While working in ministry, I started self-studying psychology trying to understand my experience more deeply. Through that self-study of psychology, I fell in love with the topic, learned things I believe can help people, and developed a passion for helping others with their psychological and mental health journey.
That brought me to pursue the field of psychotherapy and to work here at Alpine Family Counseling. I’ve always been a searcher and helper who loves to see others thrive. My logical gifts and background in engineering add a dimension to my work as a therapist as well. If you’d like to work with me as your therapist, it would be a gift to me.
